Immunizations are not included and are billed separately. Full payment is due and collected at the time of service; we accept all major credit cards, debit, HSA/FSA and cash.

If you want your immigration labs billed to your insurance, the package is not available to you. In that case we provide the laboratory order and you obtain your testing directly from the third-party laboratory, which will bill your plan. Bear in mind that immigration-related laboratory testing may be excluded or denied by your plan, or applied directly toward your deductible, which can leave patients with unexpected bills exceeding $1,000.

No. Immunizations are not included in the $275 lab package, and are separate from the $325 exam fee as well. Required vaccinations remain available at our Sunnyvale clinic and may be billed to your insurance depending on your benefits, coverage and in-network status, or provided as a self-pay service with rates available on request. Bringing your existing vaccination records is the single best way to reduce your total cost, because it may spare you shots you do not actually need.

The package is a special promotional rate available exclusively to Instant Urgent Care patients completing a USCIS I-693 medical evaluation at our facility. It is not sold as standalone laboratory testing, and it is not available to patients who want their immigration labs billed to insurance. It is offered at all Instant Urgent Care clinics.

For most out-of-area patients, yes. USCIS-designated civil surgeons are not evenly spread across Northern California, so patients travel to our clinics from across the South Bay, Peninsula, East Bay, Tri-Valley, Contra Costa, North Bay and the Napa and Solano corridor. Without the package you would leave with a laboratory order and need a second appointment at an outside laboratory, and your Form I-693 cannot be finalised until those results reach the civil surgeon. Adding the package turns the whole process into a single trip.

Not if you take the $275 package. Your blood draw is done here at our Sunnyvale clinic during the same appointment as your exam, and we handle everything from there. Without the package you will receive a laboratory order and will need to book a separate appointment at an outside laboratory, then wait for those results to reach the civil surgeon before your I-693 can be completed.

Yes. Our physicians hold active USCIS civil surgeon designation, which is what authorises them to perform immigration medical exams and complete Form I-693. A regular doctor cannot complete this form, even if the same tests are performed. We complete the current 01/20/2025 edition of the form, which is the only edition USCIS accepts.

Under current USCIS policy, a Form I-693 signed by a civil surgeon on or after November 1, 2023 is valid only while the application it was filed with, usually Form I-485, remains pending. If that application is withdrawn or denied, the I-693 is no longer valid and a new exam is needed. Exams signed before November 1, 2023 follow the older rule and remain valid for two years from the signature date. These rules changed recently, so confirm the latest requirements with USCIS or your immigration attorney. Do not open the sealed envelope, as USCIS will reject an exam that has been opened.

Bring whatever you have. If records are unavailable, the civil surgeon will assess which USCIS-required vaccines you need and can administer them on site, documenting everything on Form I-693. You can also request titer blood tests to check for existing immunity, which sometimes saves you from unnecessary shots.
