What is Urgent Care?
Emergency rooms are for life threatening situations or injuries that could cause significant long term damage if not treated immediately. Many people wait for hours in the ER when they could be seen more quickly by a doctor in an urgent care center.
Urgent care centers are for immediate medical needs that are not life threatening, but require care within 24 hours or less. Many of these conditions can cause pain or discomfort. They may also limit your ability to continue with normal daily activities.
