Do I need an appointment for urgent care?
No appointment is ever needed at Instant Urgent Care. Walk in to our San Jose, Santa Clara or Sunnyvale clinic during operating hours and you will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Average wait time is approximately 15 minutes. For telemedicine visits, you can book online for same-day care from anywhere in California.
What conditions does Instant Urgent Care treat?
Our board-certified urgent care doctors treat a wide range of common and acute conditions including cold and flu, fever, sore throat, strep throat, ear infections, sinus infections, UTI, bronchitis, pink eye, COVID-19, allergies, rashes, sprains, fractures, lacerations and minor injuries. We also provide primary care, immigration physicals, medical weight loss, pediatric care and telemedicine visits.
Is urgent care cheaper than the emergency room?
Yes, significantly. For non-life-threatening conditions, urgent care is a fraction of the cost of an ER visit and your wait time is much shorter. With insurance, urgent care typically costs the same as a regular doctor visit. We accept most major insurance plans and also offer affordable self-pay rates with no surprise bills.
What insurance does Instant Urgent Care accept?

Where are the Instant Urgent Care locations?
We have 3 walk-in urgent care locations across Silicon Valley: Santa Clara at 3466 El Camino Real (95051), Sunnyvale at 970 W El Camino Real Ste 8 (94087), and San Jose at 5138 Monterey Hwy Ste G (95111). Telemedicine visits are also available statewide for patients anywhere in California.
Are the doctors at Instant Urgent Care board-certified?
Yes. All physicians at Instant Urgent Care are board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine or equivalent certifying body. Our physician assistants hold current NCCPA certification (PA-C) and active California PA licenses. Dr. Ramandeep Kaur, our Medical Director, is also a USCIS-designated civil surgeon for immigration physicals.
Does Instant Urgent Care offer telemedicine?
Yes. Telemedicine visits are available to patients anywhere in California. Same-day appointments can be booked online and you will see a board-certified doctor by video. Telemedicine is ideal for cold, flu, allergies, prescription refills, follow-ups and many primary care concerns. For physical exams, lab work or X-rays, an in-person visit is needed.
Do you offer immigration physicals (Form I-693)?
Yes. Dr. Ramandeep Kaur is a USCIS-designated civil surgeon authorized to perform Form I-693 immigration medical exams for green card applicants and status adjustments. The exam includes physical examination, vaccinations, TB testing and required lab work – all completed in a single visit at our Santa Clara, Sunnyvale or San Jose clinic.
